Custom plans after pregnancy or major weight loss. Plastic surgeons in Miami. Consultation required; final price varies.
Mommy Makeover in Miami
What it is: a personalized combination of body and breast procedures after pregnancy/breastfeeding (or major weight change), commonly tummy tuck, breast lift or augmentation, and liposuction.
Good candidates: you do not need to be a mother, but surgeons usually prefer you to be finished having children (or not planning pregnancy soon), near stable weight - including after weight-loss medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro when applicable - healthy enough for elective surgery, with realistic expectations.
Who performs it: plastic surgeons at CG Cosmetic Surgery in Miami, including Dr. Moises Salama, Dr. Decio Carvalho and Dr. Andrew Lofman (board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery).
Where / anesthesia: elective surgery in our Miami facility with anesthesia planned by our clinical team.
Recovery (typical): longer than a single procedure. Many patients need about 2 weeks before lighter routines; avoid heavy lifting/exercise about 6-8 weeks, per surgeon instructions.
Key risks to discuss: bleeding, infection, healing issues, asymmetry, fluid collections, scars, and anesthesia risks. Combination surgery increases complexity.
Price: packages often start around $8,000 depending on which procedures are included. Ask for a written quote covering surgeon, facility, and anesthesia. Consultation required; final price varies.

A mommy makeover in Miami is a personalized plan that combines breast and tummy procedures to address changes that can follow pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight change. At CG Cosmetic Surgery, our plastic surgeons commonly plan a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast lift or breast augmentation, and liposuction - sometimes with an arm lift - based on your anatomy and goals. Mommy makeover pricing starts from $8,000; a consultation is required and the final price varies with the procedures you choose.
Mommy Makeover After Ozempic or Weight-Loss Medications
Medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro (semaglutide, tirzepatide, and related GLP-1 therapies) can cause major weight loss and leftover loose skin on the abdomen, breasts, and arms. A mommy makeover can combine procedures - often tummy tuck, breast lift or augmentation, and liposuction - to address those changes in one personalized plan.
Best timing is usually after your weight has been stable, your nutrition supports healing, and your surgeon and anesthesia team clear you for elective surgery. They will advise whether any medication pause is needed around the operation. Not every patient needs the same combination; staging is sometimes safer. Results vary; consultation confirms candidacy.

A mommy makeover is not one fixed operation. It usually pairs a breast procedure with a tummy procedure, and some plans add fat transfer or body contouring. Common building blocks include:
Your consultation defines which combination fits your anatomy, goals, and recovery capacity.
Do You Need to Be a Mom to Have a Mommy Makeover?
No. "Mommy makeover" is an umbrella term, not a requirement. As Dr. Andrew Lofman explains in the video below, it means pairing a breast procedure (augmentation, lift or reduction) with a tummy procedure (liposuction, a tummy tuck, or both). Good candidates are people who are unhappy with both their breasts and their tummy, whether or not they have children.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are common reasons these areas change, but weight loss, aging and genetics can play a role too. Whether you are a candidate depends on your anatomy, health and goals, and a consultation with one of our surgeons confirms it.
"Mommy makeover" is an umbrella term for combining a breast procedure (augmentation, lift or reduction) with a tummy procedure (liposuction and/or tummy tuck). You do not have to be a mother to be a candidate.

Who is the ideal candidate for a mommy makeover? I want to say all mommies are candidates, but it's not true. Not all mommies are candidates. But basically, what does the term mommy makeover mean? Mommy makeover is kind of an umbrella term for some kind of change with a woman's breasts, some kind of change with the tummy. That can be a breast reduction. It could be a breast lift. It could be a breast implant. It could be a breast augmentation implant and a lift. So there's different things that that could mean for the upper part. And then for the tummy, it could mean liposuction. It could mean tummy tuck, tummy tuck and liposuction. So who's a candidate? Well, somebody that's not happy with their breasts and their tummy. That's who's a candidate for a mommy makeover. You don't have to be a mommy, but it just happens to be that children do funny things to breasts and tummies.
Who Performs Your Mommy Makeover
Your mommy makeover is planned and performed by the plastic surgeons at CG Cosmetic Surgery, including Dr. Moises Salama, Dr. Decio Carvalho and Dr. Andrew Lofman. Dr. Lofman is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. At your consultation you will meet your surgeon, review your goals and health history, and can ask about their experience with the procedures you are considering.
Timing: After Pregnancy, After Breastfeeding, Before Future Pregnancies
Surgeons generally advise waiting until you are finished having children, because another pregnancy can stretch the abdomen again and change the breasts, which may affect your results. Many also recommend waiting for a period after you stop breastfeeding so your breasts and weight can settle. There is no single timeline that fits everyone, so your surgeon will tell you when your body looks ready.
If you are still deciding about future children, mention it at your consultation. It may change which procedures make sense and when.
Combined or Staged: One Surgery or Several?
Many patients choose to combine procedures into one surgery, which means one anesthesia and one recovery period. The trade-off is a longer operation and more areas healing at once. Because the time spent under anesthesia can affect certain risks, such as blood clots, surgeons usually limit how long a single operation should last, and some plans are safer when split into two stages.
Your surgeon decides based on your health, the procedures you want, and how much help you will have at home. Some patients combine everything; others start with the breasts or the tummy and return later for the rest. Neither approach is right for everyone.
Mommy Makeover Risks and Considerations
Every surgery has risks, and combining procedures adds complexity. Your surgeon will review them with you in detail. They may include:
Bleeding, infection, or fluid collections (seroma)
Delayed wound healing and visible scars, which mature over time
Blood clots, one reason early walking and following instructions matter
Asymmetry, contour irregularities, and changes in nipple or skin sensation
With breast implants: implant-related complications, and the possibility that implants may need revision or replacement in the future
Anesthesia-related risks
Some patients need a revision procedure. A stable weight, good overall health and avoiding nicotine are among the factors that may lower risk, and your surgeon will give you specific guidance.
Breast Lift
After pregnancy, your breasts may begin to sag. As the skin pulls your breasts downward, you will notice that your nipples no longer point out in front of you, but downward. If you are unhappy with the way your breasts look, you can have a lift procedure performed.
During the lift, the surgeon will make an incision and remove excess skin from the breast. He or she will then reshape the breast tissue, aiming for better symmetry. The incisions are closed with stitches, and the goal is a more lifted, natural-looking breast shape. Results vary.
Liposuction
Liposuction is a common procedure that is performed to remove excess fat. Liposuction is not a weight-loss method, but it can help contour stubborn areas that do not respond to diet and exercise. During surgery, a small incision is made and a suction tube is placed into the incision. The tube sucks up the stubborn fat.
Once the targeted fat is removed, the incisions are closed and, when needed, drainage tubes may be placed. Liposuction does not tighten loose skin; excess skin is treated with a tummy tuck or a lift.
Arm Lift (optional, not Included)
Your arms take some damage during pregnancy and if they have taken too much, you may find yourself looking for a solution. An arm lift will remove any of the excess fat and skin from your upper or lower arm. Your surgeon will make an incision, typically on the underside of the arm, and then remove the fat. The additional skin will be cut off and the incision site closed. This may reduce the loose skin that moves as you move your arms; the scar is a trade-off to discuss with your surgeon.
Tummy Tuck
After you have a baby, you may be left with skin that no longer wants to bounce back to its original form. When this happens, a tummy tuck may be an option.
A tummy tuck can help create a flatter, firmer abdominal contour. During surgery, an incision is made on the lower abdomen, excess skin and, when needed, fat are removed, and the abdominal muscles may be tightened. The incision is then closed with stitches. Results vary.
Mommy Makeover Cost in Miami
An experienced surgeon typically costs more than an inexperienced one. If a package price seems too good to be true, pause and ask what is included, who operates, and where surgery is performed.
So, how much does a mommy makeover cost in Miami? At CG Cosmetic, mommy makeover pricing starts from $8,000. A consultation is required, and the final price varies with your plan. Your coordinator reviews payment plans and financing options after surgical planning. Most elective cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance.
What affects the price:
How many procedures you combine and how extensive each one is
Whether your plan includes implants, a breast lift, fat transfer or an arm lift
Surgeon, facility and anesthesia fees
Garments and follow-up care
A written quote may include the surgeon's fee, facility, anesthesia and post-operative visits. Because packages differ, ask exactly what is and is not covered.
Compare written quotes carefully: surgeon fee, facility, anesthesia, garments, and follow-up. See our financing page for lender options (subject to credit approval).
Mommy Makeover Recovery Timeline
Combination surgery means a longer recovery than a single procedure. Typical educational ranges (your surgeon personalizes this):
First few days: rest, medication as directed, compression garments, short walks as instructed, and help at home with chores and children
About 2 weeks: many patients return to lighter daily routines; avoid heavy lifting
6-8 weeks: progressive return to exercise after clearance
Months: scars and swelling continue to mature; final contour settles over time, and follow-up visits track your progress
Plan for help at home, especially with young children, during the first days. Scar care, compression garments and follow-up visits are part of recovery, and your surgeon will explain each stage.
Mommy Makeover Results Timeline
Results develop gradually. Swelling is greatest early and then improves over weeks and months, so the shape you see at first is not the final one. Breast implants may settle over time, and scars typically fade and soften over many months. Long-term outcomes can be influenced by weight changes, future pregnancies, aging and lifestyle. Results vary from person to person.
More Mommy Makeover Questions
Do I have to be a mother to get a mommy makeover?
No. The term describes a combination of a breast procedure and a tummy procedure. People who are unhappy with both areas may be candidates, whether or not they have children. A consultation confirms what fits you.
How long should I wait after pregnancy or breastfeeding before a mommy makeover?
Surgeons usually advise waiting until you are done having children and for a period after breastfeeding ends, so your breasts and weight can settle. The right moment varies, so your surgeon will advise you after examining you.
Can I have a mommy makeover if I want more children?
Most surgeons prefer to wait until you have finished having children, since another pregnancy can change the results. If you are unsure, talk with your surgeon: planning around your family goals may change what is recommended and when.
Is it safer to combine procedures or do them in stages?
Neither is automatically safer. Combining means one anesthesia and one recovery, but a longer operation. Staging splits the surgery into smaller steps. Your surgeon decides based on your health, the procedures planned and your support at home.
Which procedures are included in a mommy makeover?
Plans are personalized. They usually pair a breast procedure (augmentation, lift, lift with implants, or reduction) with a tummy procedure (tummy tuck, liposuction, or both), and may add fat transfer or an arm lift. Your surgeon recommends the combination for your anatomy.
What is usually included in a mommy makeover quote?
A written quote may include the surgeon's fee, facility, anesthesia and follow-up visits, but items vary by plan, so ask for it in writing. Pricing starts from $8,000; a consultation is required and the final price varies.
Will I have scars after a mommy makeover?
Yes, surgery that involves incisions leaves scars. Their location, length and healing depend on the procedures, your skin and your aftercare. Scars generally fade and soften over many months, and your surgeon can show you where yours would be placed.
Who will perform my mommy makeover?
Our plastic surgeons, including Dr. Moises Salama, Dr. Decio Carvalho and Dr. Andrew Lofman (board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery), plan mommy makeovers. You will discuss which surgeon is the best fit for you at your consultation.

How much is a mommy makeover in Miami?
The cost of a mommy makeover varies with the procedures you need. At CG Cosmetic, a patient coordinator discusses pricing after you qualify in consultation with one of our surgeons.
You will review payment plans and financing options. Most insurance companies do not cover elective cosmetic procedures. CG Cosmetic Surgery aims to keep pricing clear and accessible without compromising safety - mommy makeover candidates can explore packages starting around $8,000 with our plastic surgeons, based on the surgical plan. A consultation is required and the final price varies.
How long does it take to recover from a mommy makeover?
A mommy makeover involves major procedures such as tummy tuck and breast lift or augmentation, so plan for a significant recovery. Some patients may need overnight observation. Swelling and discomfort are expected and managed with compression and medication as directed.
Spend the first days resting. Many patients need about 2 weeks before returning to lighter activities, and should avoid heavy lifting and vigorous exercise for about 6 to 8 weeks, or until cleared by their surgeon.
Can I get a mommy makeover after Ozempic or weight-loss medications?
Yes. Many patients explore a mommy makeover after major weight loss from medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro. These medicines can reduce fat, but they do not remove loose skin or restore breast position on their own.
Surgeons usually prefer stable weight and solid nutrition before elective combination surgery. Your surgical and anesthesia team will advise on timing and medication instructions. Consultation determines which procedures fit your anatomy and whether staging is safer.
